Composition
Loquat fruit is rich in carotene and other carotenoids, together with vitamin C, potassium and a range of minerals and organic acids. The fruit also carries a flavonoid fraction. Because the powder is produced from the whole fruit, the carotenoid content is what determines the colour and much of the specification.
Applications
Loquat fruit powder is used in instant and powdered beverages, fruit blend and tea applications, confectionery, bakery and nutritional formulations, and in cosmetic preparations as a botanical ingredient. It disperses readily in cold water and can be used as a colouring and flavouring base.
