Wellgreen Technology Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer and supplier of oyster mushroom extract for the food, beverage and nutritional industries. The material is produced at our own facility from cultivated fruiting body and supplied in bulk to formulators and brand owners.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Oyster mushroom extract is produced from the fruiting body of Pleurotus ostreatus, the shelf-forming mushroom widely cultivated on hardwood and straw substrates. The extract is built around the polysaccharide fraction, predominantly β-glucans - glucose polymers with β-(1,3) and β-(1,6) linkages - which is the fraction the specification is normally written on. The material is a fine-textured powder and is supplied as a clean-label ingredient for supplement and food manufacturing.

SPECIFYING A GRADE
As with all mushroom extracts, the polysaccharide figure needs its method and its carrier stated alongside it. A polysaccharide content determined by UV measures total carbohydrate against a glucose standard and will also capture any carrier present in the powder, which is why two extracts quoting the same percentage can behave differently in a capsule. Purity, particle size and water dispersibility are agreed alongside the marker content.
