PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Centella Asiatica extract powder exhibit a wide range of biological activities, most important antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and anticancer activities. FUNCTION

1. Anti-inflammatory activity of Centella Asiatica Extract.

Centella Asiatica Powder can significantly increase the content of collagen and fibronectin (fibronectin is widely involved in the processes of cell migration, adhesion, proliferation, hemostasis, and skin tissue repair), stimulate the production of type I collagen that promotes scar maturation and reduces the generation of inflammatory response. In addition, Centella Asiatica extract can also reduce the production of pro-inflammatory mediators (IL-1, MMP-1), improve and repair the skin's own barrier function.

2. Moisturizing activity of Asiatica extract.

Studies have shown that Centella Asiatica extract can significantly increase the degree of hydration of the stratum corneum, improve the ability of the epidermal barrier, and enhance skin moisture.

The study involved 25 volunteers applying a lotion and hydrogel containing Asiatica extract to different skin areas twice a day for four weeks, compared with a placebo group. A significant increase in the hydration of the posterior stratum corneum was observed during the first week of application of cosmetics containing 2.5% and 5% Centella Asiatica extract. Among them, the cosmetic preparation containing 5% Centella Asiatica extract had the best effect.

3. Centella glycoside, the main component of Centella Asiatica, can promote the vitality of scar fibroblasts, so it has the function of removing scars. It has a good polymerization effect with phospholipid substances and has an obvious effect on eliminating acne and inhibiting glucuronidase.
